Just spent 15 minutes reminding myself how to create wikis, in Moodle, from raw mark up language. It's like this:
Make the Wiki front page title surrounded by [ ]. When saved, there is a ? at the end of the title that you click on, and then you can put the rest of the wiki information in the page that follows. Simple when you know how.
REFLECTION: using Google is so much easier and quicker to learn about any web 2.0 technique, although one has to trawl for some time. Learning really is about jumping into the dark, making mistakes and recording all outcomes. There is no point in being scared or panicking. Being confused and feeling 'thick' is part of the learning process, and the bits will not fall into place at once... sometimes the bits take years to fall into place!

Starting my CPD
I'm going to start my CPD as a blog. This first page is my first attempt at doing so; I don't believe that reflection should be a 'one size fits all' and therefore, I'm going to do mine in a completely non-conformist way....
CPD
We are currently at AMT discussing CPD, and a lot of good ideas are coming out, but we do need to have a clear view of all the initiatives that are in place to facilitate continuous improvement in teaching and learning. We're talking about Geoff Petty: http://www.geoffpetty.com/
We're hoping to be using the Experimental Teaching approach that Geoff Petty has researched, and make use of this across the college. The discussion is around momentum and getting the experimentation going! Greg is keen for this to start! How do we do this?
The Teacher conference was excellent and was 5 hours towards my CPD this year. I'll write about this in my next blog.
